Paintings for Hotel Indigo in Hakone, Japan. Contextualise the hotel’s place within Hakone through the use of Japanese ink and paper due to their simultaneously simple and imposing nature. I was inspired by Japanese aesthetics Wabi-Sabi which means rustic simplicity and quietness, beauty or serenity that comes with age.
